Quickstart

TrunkBeam gives you German phone numbers for voice agents. You order and manage them from the terminal, through an MCP server or over a REST API. This page walks through the whole flow once.

Requirements

• A company or registered business with an address in Germany. Local numbers need an address inside that area code, so a Berlin (030) number needs a Berlin address.
• Node.js 20 or newer for the CLI and MCP server.
• A voice stack that speaks SIP, for example Vapi, Retell AI, ElevenLabs, LiveKit, Pipecat or Asterisk.

1. Install the CLI

npm install -g @trunkbeam/cli
trunkbeam --version

2. Create an account

The CLI asks for company name, legal form, address and contact person, then emails you a confirmation link. If you prefer clicking, sign up at app.trunkbeam.com. Details in Account and verification.

3. Submit documents

trunkbeam verify --docs ./company-register.pdf
trunkbeam status

We confirm the review timeline during onboarding. The status then reads approved, or rejected with the reason and what is missing. You also get an email.

4. Buy a number and connect it

The CLI shows the price and asks before buying. From then on, calls to the number go to your agent.
