# Account and verification

Create an account, verify your company details and activate phone numbers.

In Germany, phone numbers may only be assigned to real companies or people with a matching address. The Bundesnetzagentur (the German telecom regulator) requires this. So we verify every account before you can buy your first number. A human reviews the details. We confirm the timeline during onboarding.

## Create an account

The CLI asks for:

- company name and legal form
- business address
- contact person with name, email and phone number
- a short note on how you use the numbers, for example "AI phone assistant for booking appointments at medical practices"

You then get a confirmation link by email. `trunkbeam login` connects the CLI to your account.

## What we check

| Contact person | Name and a reachable phone number |

National numbers without a local area code only need a business address in Germany.

## Submit documents

## Check the status

| Status | Meaning |
| --- | --- |
| `pending` | Account created, documents missing |
| `in_review` | Documents received, we are reviewing |
| `approved` | Approved, you can buy numbers |
| `rejected` | Rejected, the `reason` field says what is missing |

## If we reject

A rejection is not final. `reason` says what is missing, for example "Address is not within area code 089". Submit the missing proof and we review again:

## More addresses

For numbers in other area codes, add an address there. We review each new address separately.

## API keys

After approval, create keys for scripts, CI and agents. Keys start with `tb_live_` and are shown once.

Give agents their own key with limited scopes and a monthly spend limit in euros.
